Synopsis The appearance of 'The Miracle of Love', based on the book of the same name by German journalist and sexual-education pioneer Oswalt Kolle marked the birth of German sexual education film. These films were actually 'adult films' and the educational aspect was used in order to avoid censorship. Kolle addresses problems like lack of marital intimacy or women's failure to reach orgasm. The problems are then solved in dramatized situations. Originally, well-known German composer Martin Böttcher made the music for 'The Miracle of Love'. However, it was given up because the scientific counselor for the film thought it would have a negative influence on boys in dark movie theaters.
Directors Biography Austrian director Franz Josef Gottlieb (1930 – 2006) directed more than 60 films. Besides 'The Miracle of Love', his best known films include the sexy comedy 'Bottoms Up' (1974) and the horror movie 'The Curse of the Hidden Vault' (1964).
