Tonight, on Sunday, 16th October, at 8 pm, the 9th Zagreb Film Festival opens with the screening of the film 'Tyrannosaur'!
The Festival will be declared open by Milan Bandić, Mayor of Zagreb, and the opening ceremony will be joined by repectable guests, as well as the producer of the film 'Tyrannosaur', Diarmid Scrimshaw.
This powerful drama and feature film debut of the famous actor Paddy Considine arrives from the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the World Cinema Dramatic Directing Award as well as the Special Jury Prize for Acting. Although all the seats for the opening are completely booked, you will get the chance to see 'Tyrannosaur' at the Europa Cinema on Monday, 17th October, at 5 pm as well as on Sunday, 23rd October, at 9 pm.
At this evening's ceremony the annual Albert Kapović Award for distinguished work in the field of film art and contribution to the quality and promotion of Croatian film will be given. Dana Budisavljević from the Croatian Producers Association will award it to Hrvoje Hribar, Director of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.
After the opening ceremony, a more relaxed part of the evening will take place; the screening of the film after which there will be this year's first Stella Artois film party at the Europa Cinema, with the sounds played by DJ oranG-2-denS.
